Municipality of Varna - Design and installation of energy-efficient lighting, patching and latex painting of classrooms and corridors in municipal-property school buildings. The reconstruction covered six municipal buildings (schools), some of which today celebrate their 100th anniversary. Despite of the difficulties encountered in the repair of the buildings, all activities were finished according to the initial plans, which permitted in most of them the students to start the new calendar year (2006) with a reconstructed lighting system, meeting the illumination limits in accordance with the European standards, and for the first time lighting fixtures were installed over the blackboards, not available before. This reconstruction was carried out after an open tender under the Public Procurement Act, organized by the Municipality of Varna and shows the concern of the municipal administration for the health of the young generation and the possibilities to combine education traditions with the modern requirements for living conditions.
